splash island

Summer heat could surely make your body crave for water. My last summer getaway was back in March and I’m still itching to go to the beach or a even just a poolside resort. So while browsing the pages of metrodeal, i saw this promo and since I haven’t been to splash island, i whipped out my credit card and bought 2 vouchers and made “lambing” with my boyfriend so he’d agree to come.

After we attended the Easter Sunday Mass, we went straight to Ayala and rode the Pacita bus (good thing my boyfriend knew the whereabouts in Laguna or else i would have gotten myself lost :-() Once we arrived, I was like a child on her first time in a playground. I didn’t know where to start first, so my nanny…. errr my boyfriend got us settled first by renting lockers. I didn’t expect it to be so crowded (uhm hello, its Easter remeber… *faceplam*) and when we got into the wave pool, it felt like we were in a public hot spring where there are tons of people and the water is scorching hot — > so much for my idea of cool water and relaxation!!!!

But even with the heat, the extra large crowd and the long line, I was still able to enjoy myself with the giant slides which splash island is very famous for. I specifically liked the rio montañosa and magellan’s drop. The adrenaline rush was so intense that I just laughed off my “semi-fear” of heights. Maybe I’d come back next time, as long as it is NOT a holiday and NOT that crowded 😛

By the way, never mind if the food inside is expensive, we were so hungry that the “bilao” (tilapia, bbq, liempo and ensalada) which was good for 4 people, was gobbled down by 2 hungry lovers ♥
